The issued patent covers Myriceric acid derivatives for the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases. The company is currently developing a Myriceric Acid A analog for the treatment of Androgen Refractory Prostate Cancer, one of the therapeutic areas of focus for PhytoPharmacon. Prostate cancer remains the second-leading cause of cancer-related death among men and the seventh most common cause of death in the United States overall. Androgen Refractory Prostate Cancer can be particularly difficult to treat, and novel therapies which target non-androgenic mechanisms of action are urgently needed.more..... |
