Product Features: A concentrated extract from a tropical scandent herb found commonly in many parts of Asia, Africa and Australia. This plant is well adapted to North Carolina climate. The whole plant have the active ingredients like Beta-sitosterol, Beta-amyrin and bitter glycoside, all known for their anti-diabetic activities. The scientific basis for the action: the concentrated extract developed by PhytoPharmacon has been established, and its anti-diabetic and anti-obesity action has been confirmed as ability of the extract to block adipogenesis, block differentiation of adipocytes to fat cells, cause fat cells to de-differentiate and also indicated lipolytic activity and leptin secretion. The product also has the proven ability against manifestation of many of the pathologies associated with the diabetic and anti-obesity response and was substantiated with the following in-vitro assays:

i) Blocking adipocyte differentiation (GDPH or Oil Red O)
ii) De-differentiation (GDPH or Oil Red O)
iii) Lipolysis
iv) Leptin Secretion/Glucose uptake assay.
