Plants used for extraction were grown by exploratory seed collection and cultivation in NC farms, and are based on in house biological testing using adipocyte cell-based assays, anti-inflammatory assays and anti-oxidant assays to identify novel plant extracts for the treatment of wrinkles, cellulite, and the signs of aging.

Anti-Cellulite:

It is a plant extract that has been standardized for use as anti-cellulite agent. In lipolysis, triglycerides in fat cells are broken down into fatty acids and glycerol. This extract is a potent lipolytic agent as it not only breaks down triglycerides but also blocks the uptake and accumulation of the triglycerides. This extract stimulated the release of glycerol in mice and human adipocyte cells, appreciably.

Anti-Aging:

A standardized plant extract that can be developed as an ingredient for anti-aging products. The extract is a potent inhibitor of differentiation of preadipocytes (fibroblasts) to adipocytes (fat cells). The extract is also a potent anti-oxidant as measured by oxygen radicalabsorbance capacity (ORAC) assay and a cell based assay (HepG2 cells). Therefore, we believe this extract will not only invigorate the layer of adipose tissue to continually support skin and skin cell production by inhibiting adipogenesis but also neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals.

Anti-Wrinkle:

It is a plant extract that has been standardized for use as dermatological anti-wrinkle agent. The extract stimulates differentiation of preadipocytes (fibroblasts) to adipocytes (fat cells). We believe this extract can provide the skin ability to repair itself by supporting the fatty tissue layer and thus leading to much smoother and healthier look.

Anti-Inflammatory:

Our anti-inflammatory extracts have anti-inflammatory properties and can be used in creams and water based gels in the management of inflammation-induced skin disorders. Our anti-inflammatory extracts are potent inhibitors of NO release from macrophage cells and the activity of COX-2 enzyme.

One of our extracts is very unique, pre-clinically proven, and is a patented standardized extract that promotes anti-inflammation, particularly Arthritis and Granuloma management. Animal model studies showed that this extract is effective in managing Arthritis (in Turpentine induced arthritis model) and Granuloma ( in Cotton pellet induced granuloma) model. Toxicological studies in rats (Glutathione, TBARS and hydro peroxides in liver and kidney) indicated no toxicity to liver and kidney during the treatment with this extract.
