History

The company was founded in 2005 and has laboratories and offices in Garner, North Carolina

Strategy

The Company strategy is to use its broad product and technology platform to develop a portfolio of botanically derived medical foods, prescription drugs, while simultaneously generating revenues and licensing fees from partnerships. PhytoPharmacon has identified a number of botanical candidates in oncology, cardiovascular disease, anti-infectives, and the anti-inflammatory field including asthma. By selecting drug candidates whose efficacy and safety have already been established over hundreds of years in China, India, USA and Europe, PhytoPharmacon expects to be able to reduce the time taken to bring these proprietary botanical products to market. Also PhytoPharmacon is a supplier of natural product libraries, cosmetic, and nutraceutical ingredients, and related services. PhytoPharmacon has a line of products that that has cosmetic, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical uses. PhytoPharmacon’s unique lines of products are standardized botanicals that have strong scientific support and the ability to achieve perceptible improvement in the health, and appearance of the skin.

The lines of products that we offer are: Unique North America-based Natural Product Libraries, Cosmetic ingredients, Forskolin, Forskolin Tanning, Skin Lightening, Acne, Anti-Cellulite, Anti-Aging, Anti-Wrinkle, Anti-Inflammatory, and Anti-oxidants. We can work with our clients to custom develop products with the desired chemistry.

Ven Subbiah, Ph. D. Founder/ President:

Ven SubbiahDr. Subbiah is Founder/President, Founder/Chairman, of PhytoMyco Res. Pvt. Ltd. Mysore, India. He worked as Principal Investigator at RJR-Nabisco and was Senior Research Scientist at OSI Pharmaceuticals, Uniondale, NY, USA. Dr. Subbiah has published 80 papers, and has10 issued patents and 20 patents pending.

 

 

Inderjit K. Dev, Ph. D. Co-founder and V.P. of R&D.

Inderjit KDr. Dev received his degree from UNC, Chapel Hill and has more than 35 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug discovery working for GlaxoSmithKline in the areas of anticancer, antimicrobial and antiviral therapeutics. He has published 65 scientific papers and has 13 patents issued and pending.

 

 

Gabriel Cipau, MBA, Ph.D., MBA, CEO.

Gabriel CipauDr. Cipau, a partner with Key Healthcare Partners, is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive and chemical engineer. He was President and CEO of Nippon Wellcome KK, Copley Pharmaceuticals, Catalytica Pharmaceuticals and Biolex. He is a member of the Board of Directors for ENS Inc. and Bob Barker Co.
