OVERVIEW OF ANTI-AGING LEADS

PhytoPharmacon idea for treatment is to invigorate the layer of adipose tissue to continually support skin and skin cell production, at the same time neutralizing the damaging effect of free radicals. We have used two different types of assays, one by measuring the anti-oxidant properties using two assays, and the other by measuring the differentiation of adipocyte.

A concentrated extracts are from local plants that has been widely used in traditional medicines for various therapeutic treatments, including anti-diabetic indications. The plant can be grown easily and the growing regimen has been well established.

SCIENTIFIC BASIS OF ACTION

The scientific basis for the action of the concentrated extracts developed by PhytoPharmacon have been confirmed the ability of the extracts to block adipogenesis, block differentiation of adipocytes to fat cells, and cause fat cells to de-differentiate. The following assays have been used using both 3T3 mouse cell lines as well as human primary fat cells.
i) Blocking adipocyte differentiation (GDPH or Oil Red O)
ii) De-differentiation (GDPH or Oil Red O)

PRODUCT SAFETY AND REGULATORY ASPECT

The products have been confirmed to have no toxicity based on in vitro cytotoxicity as well as animal studies. Besides the plant materials used for the preparation has a long history of use in traditional ethnic medicines in Asia, Africa and Australia.

The product has several USPs which include;

1. These are local plants with minimal processing and consequent absence of process artifacts.
2. It is extracted from a plant source coming under the GRAS category and eligible to be considered a nutracuetical product for well being.
3. The plants source has been in use in Asia and Africa for centuries for ameliorating many symptomatic health problems with no known adverse incidence reported any time in the entire history.
4. Falls under DSHEA, since they have been marketed in United States prior to 1994.

TECHNOLOGY FEATURES

The technology for the manufacture of these extracts as developed by the PhytoPharmacon. The process of producing these standarized extracts begins at the field in cultivating the source plant under established agronomic conditions, standardized by PhytoPharmacon. The mature plant is harvested under recommended conditions, pre-prepared for drying under controlled conditions, dried and comminuted into a coarse powder. This basic material is extracted with recommended solvent system under controlled conditions, desolventised, and ground into a fine powder for formulation. This powder can be either tableted or encapsulated in appropriate dosages.
